The Effects of Eating Late at Night

Posted by VPX Sports on Feb 9, 2011 4:59:00 PM

latenight smallWe all know those sinful treats that we like to consume those late night snacks to satisfy our sweet tooth or get rid of a slight hunger craving.  Well, did you know that all of those calories you are consuming eventually add up to pounds of fat?  Sure, it might seem like a harmless, small night time snack before bed, but over time those couple hundred calories each night can be detrimental if you’re trying to lose weight.

It isn’t so much the time of day that is important for the weight gain that occurs, but rather the types of food you consume during those times of day.  Generally, most night time snacks are high in sugar and low in protein.  Sugar is a simple carbohydrate that absorbs very fast in the body.  So, when you eat those snacks late at night, your body has no choice but to store them as fat since you are not physically or mentally active.

Numerous studies have proven that people put on fat by their total caloric intake throughout the day.  You can eat great all day long, but if you take in more calories than you expend, you are putting on fat.  It is the fat and fiber in the foods we eat that make us feel full.

Luckily, VPX created Fiberteq which helps control your hunger.  For overall health and rapid fat loss, your nutritional strategy must include high fiber foods. VPX FIBERTEQ™ is a powerful weapon in the MELTDOWN PICTURE PERFECT DIET™ and a convenient way to benefit from the most complete and excellent source of fiber. FIBERTEQ™ can be mixed into PROTEIN RUSH™POWDER and SRO™ ZERO CARB® shakes or sprinkled on or mixed in your favorite foods.  Taking Fiberteq will help prevent those late night cravings and prevent you from putting on those extra, unwanted pounds!
